The films mirror the actual Yorkshire Ripper and the police cover-ups and scams that took place at the time. The Yorkshire Ripper, thought at the time to be a mentally challenged man who had been caught (and forced to confess), had killed thirteen girls (perhaps more) and continued to run free for years, despite the public demand to have him caught. Consider the Zodiac killer, around the same time, here stateside. Also consider the David Fincher film Zodiac (2007) when watching this installment of the trilogy; they’re practically identical. Being a bit of a suspense drama tragic, I am super excited to hear that production has officially begun on ABC’s new drama series “Missing”.

The new series, which is filming across exotic locations in Europe, stars the lovely Ashley Judd as a mom whose son suddenly disappears while studying abroad. It follows Judd ((“Double Jeopardy,” “Kiss the Girls”) through a string of surprising events and thrilling twists that reveal how far she will go to bring her son home.

This is the blurb from ABC describing the drama: “How far would you go to save the only thing you have left in the world?
